Zenfix Limited’s Lead Firm Brave Women Grant Award

In Dec 2023 Zenfix Limited became a beneficiary of the BRAVE WOMEN GRANT as a lead firm. The Business Resilience Assistance for Value-Added Enterprises (BRAVE) Women Program is powered by the Women Entrepreneurship Finance Initiative (We-Fi), a multi-donor fund currently being administered by the World Bank under the designated Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDBG) as one of the Implementing Partners (IPs) with the Bank Of Industry being the local execution agency .BRAVE Women Program focuses on developing and increasing the economic opportunities for female entrepreneurs through skills training aimed at business viability (i.e., profitability) in targeted country-specific value chains.

Participants varied across different sectors, agri-business, education, fashion, hospitality and medicine. We were particularly impressed with the programs focus on process and personal development for beneficiaries and their value chain partners especially SMEs. We went through various trainings on business continuity plan and were made to put one in place, several SME clinics and a mandatory WSME (Women SME) training paying special attention to maintaining and developing the value chain.

We were able to access the 50,000USD grant amount which was channelled to procuring manufacturing equipment to improve our capacity. We also successfully carried out trainings for our suppliers and partners that are WSMEs. Our SME training was facilitated by Olubunmi Omonubi ACMA,CGMA of JOTDA integrated services where we discussed the fundamentals of business process improvement, tax and statutory compliance, business structuring etc.

We are grateful to the BRAVE team for the support, the due diligence and the carefully thought out program that is beneficial to all value chain stakeholders.
